How do I get logged in? When you registered, USBDT.com sent an activation email to your email address that you registered with. You need to click the link in the email to activate your account. How do I upload a picture for my avatar (your on-line image)? From your Rec. Room left menu, select “Rec. Room Settings”, then select the “Picture” tab at the top of your Rec. Room. In the “Rec Room Avatar Graphic” section, click “Browse” to upload your image and click “Upload”. Note: Your graphic must be of type .jpg, .gif or .png and less than 2MB in file size. How do I update my Rec. Room background? From your Rec. Room left menu, select “Rec. Room Settings”, then select the “Picture” tab at the top of your Rec. Room. In the “Rec Room Background Graphic” section, you can either upload a picture of your own or use one of the cool USBDT.com official backgrounds.
How do I create a photo album? From your Rec. Room left menu, click [edit] next to Photo Albums then the “New Photo Album” tab at the top of your Rec. Room. Note: if this is your first photo album, a link will be displayed under your Photo Album menu to direct you to the Create Photo Album page. Type in your Album name, location of event and description. Select the visibility setting and click “Create Album”. You can add photos right away or click cancel to add photos later. How do I add photos to a photo album? From your Rec. Room left menu, click [edit] next to Photo Albums then click the “add photos” link below the album you want to add photos to. You can add up to four photos at a time. Once finished selecting photos to add, click “Upload”. Add a title and optional caption to personalize the photo as well as some search tags so your photo can be included in photo searches. Click “Save Changes”. Once finished adding photos, click “Cancel” to return to your photo album. How do I add a personal video to a Video Channel? From your Rec. Room left menu, click [edit] next to Video Channels then click the Add Video link below a Video Channel. The Favorite Video screen will appear. Click the link below the YouTube Video section to launch the Video Upload window. Add a title and description to personalize the video as well as some search tags so your video can be included in video searches. Select the channel you want to add the video to and click “Browse” to select your video. Click “Upload Video”. Once uploaded, your video will be placed in our processing queue and will get published shortly. How do I add a YouTube video URL to a Video Channel? From your Rec. Room left menu, click [edit] next to Video Channels then click the Add Video link below a Video Channel. You can add up to four YouTube URLs at one time. Give each of your videos a title and paste the URL (i.e. http://www...). Click “Save Videos”. If you want to add more videos while in a Video Channel, you can click any Add Video link below the video thumbnails. How do I create a new Video Channel? From your Rec. Room left menu, click [edit] next to Video Channel then click the “Create New Channel” tab at the top of your Rec. Room. Type in your Channel title and description as well as some search tags so your channel can be included in video searches. Select a category and the visibility setting from the drop-down boxes and click “Create Channel”. Either click the "Inbox" link at the very top-right of USBDT.com OR from your Rec. Room left menu. Your Inbox will be displayed with the current messages on top. Click the subject or [view message] links to display the message/conversation. Within the Message View, you can send a reply, delete the message or return to your inbox to view the rest of your messages. How do I compose and send a message to a buddy? Either click the "Inbox" link at the very top-right of USBDT.com OR from your Rec. Room left menu. Then click the “Compose” tab at the top of your Rec. Room. Select your buddy from the drop-down menu, type your subject and message and click “Send Message”. How do I view my sent messages? From your Rec. Room left menu, select “Inbox” then click the “Sent Messages” tab at the top of your Rec. Room. Your sent messages will be displayed with the current messages on top. Click the subject or [view message] links to display the message/conversation. Within the Message View, you can send a reply, delete the message or return to your sent box to view the rest of your sent messages. How do I configure my privacy settings (i.e. who can see my Rec. Room or who can message me)? From your Rec. Room left menu, select “Privacy Settings”. Select/De-Select the ways members can interact with you and Rec Room characteristics. Click “Save Settings”. How do I update my default Event Alert preferences? At registration, we setup a default Event Alert that will notify you weekly of any events in your area. To update settings, select "Account Settings" from your Rec. Room left menu and then "Event Alerts" tab at the top of your Rec. Room. Select a state from the drop-down box OR input your zip-code and a mile range. Click “Save". How do I configure Event Alerts to keep me up-to-date on the latest event in my area? From your Rec. Room left menu, select “Account Settings” and then “Event Alerts” tab at the top of your Rec. Room. Select the event category, location characteristics and frequency. Click “Save”. You can add up to eight(8) alerts to keep you on top of things. Just click "add another alert". This is great if you travel!!! How do I hang my USBDT.com Membership Flag on other sites? Your flag is a way that people online can identify you as being a USBDT.com member. All you need to do is click on the “Hang My Flag High!” link under your state Beer Drinking Team logo at the top of your Rec Room. You have the option to display your name and a “Flag-Line” within the flag. After any changes, click “Regenerate Flag” and copy the generated html code to other websites. How do I edit and print my USBDT.com Member Card? Your Member Card identifies you as being a USBDT.com member and entitles you to special discounts and offers that our sponsors offer to USBDT.com members. All you need to do is click on the “Member Card” link at the bottom of your Rec Room, personalize your card with your photo and print it! How do I print my USBDT.com Member Certificate? Your USBDT.com Member Certificate is a great addition to any home. All you need to do is click on the “Member Certificate” link at the bottom of your Rec Room. A new browser window will open displaying the certificate. Just print and frame it! Teams are groups of members that have similar interests, lifestyle or live within the same geographic location. When members join USBDT, they automatically become a team member of their particular State's Team. Members can also create their own teams and invite buddies to join. All Teams have their own fully equipped Rec Room that includes their own Fridge, Photo Albums and Video Channels, as well as, The Huddle - grab a beer, pull up a bar-stool and chat away! What are Public, Private and Closed Teams?
From your Rec. Room left menu, select “Create A Team”. Fill out your team information – name, description, category, etc. Select team options and team type to customize the visibility of your team page. Click “Create Team”. Once created, photos and videos can be “tagged” from your or your team's personal stash to trick-out your Team Room. How do I invite buddies to my Teams? From the Team's Rec Room left menu, select “Invite Members”. From the Invite Module select USBDT.com Buddies and click "Continue". Select your buddies from the provided list. Click "Invite". From the Invite Module, you can also invite non-members to join USBDT.com and the team as well! What are Team Managers and Team Captains? The creator of a team is the Team Manager who can elect up to two Team Captains. Collectively they develop and maintain the Team's Rec Room. How does the Team Manager appoint Team Captains? From the Team's Rec Room left menu, select Team Settings and then “Managers & Captains” at the top of the Rec. Room. Select up to two Captains from the team member drop-down box and click “Save Settings”. Click the “Teams” tab at the top of any page. You can browse through the teams page by page or use the Team Quick Search at the top of the page. Once you find a team of interest, click "Join this Team" link to join right away OR click on the team thumbnail or team name to find out more about the team. If you like what you see and want to join the team, click “Join Team” at the Team Room left menu. It's that easy. From your Rec. Room left menu, click [edit] next to your Teams menu. Your current teams are displayed in alphabetic order except for teams that you are the Manager. These will float to the top. Click “Leave Team” next to the unwanted team. How do I post (tag) photos or videos to Team Rooms that I am a member of? From your Rec. Room left menu, click the team you want to share some of your photos or videos with. Click [tag] next to either Latest Photos or Latest Videos. Select the photos or videos from your collection and click “Tag / Un-Tag Videos”. Note: same process applies if you want to “un-tag” photos or videos. How do I start a topic in The Huddle? From the team's Rec. Room, expand The Huddle section if not already and click ”Start New Topic”. Fill in the topic and info and click “Post Topic”. How do I browse through Entertainment categories? Click "Entertainment" from the top menu. Click on a parent category either from the top sub-menu or the left-column. Select a specific child category to narrow results. If you find a listing of interest, click "More Details", listing name or image. How do I search for a particular bar, brewery, event, etc? Click "Entertainment" at the top menu. Select a category from the drop down menu in the middle of the page. Type in the zip code and optional keywords, select a mileage range and click "Search". Browse through results or use the Advanced Search to narrow results. How do I find an upcoming event? When logged into your account, USBDT.com provides a list of your area's upcoming events right on the home page to keep them nice and handy. To get a full list or search for a particular date, click on the "USBDT.com Events Calendar" banner in the lower right of the home page OR click "Entertainment" from the main menu, then "Calendar", We also send out email notifications on upcoming events. To configure your default Event Alert or create new Event Alerts, go to your your Rec. Room and click "Account Settings". Select the "Event Alert" tab at the top of your Rec. Room page. How do I tell a friend about a listing I have found? From a business listing's Summary page, click "Tell a Friend". Fill out your friend's name and email. Type the security code and click "Send Message". If you want to send to a group of people, separate email addresses with a comma. How do I post a review of a business listing? From a business listing's Summary page, click "Post Review". Fill out the information and click "Post Review". From a business listing's Summary page, click "Bookmark Listing". It's that easy. You can also save a listing to your Rec. Room by selecting "Add to Favorites". How do I add a listing to my Rec. Room's Favorite Places? From a business listing's Summary page, click "Add to Favorites". How do I delete a listing from my Rec. Room's Favorites Places? From your Rec. Room, click "delete" next to the listing you want to instantly remove. How do I view a listing's Specials or promotions? From a business listing's main Summary page, click the "Our Specials" tab at the top of the listing. Click "view details" on an item to expand the view. How do I view a listing's Upcoming Events? From a business listing's main Summary page, click the "Our Events" tab at the top of the listing. Click "view details" on an item to expand the view. How come some listings have more information to view than others? It depends on the package level the advertiser purchased. Contact your favorite establishment and ask them to upgrade so you can be up-to-date on all of their specials and events! How do I invite friends to join USBDT.com? From your Rec. Room left menu, select “Invite Friends”. The Invite module will open and display the different email services that you can import your contacts right on the screen. Select the type of account/method you want to import your contact from. Click “Continue”. Type in your Login information/password or CSV file format/file-name and click “Fetch”. Your contacts will be displayed for you to select as many friends you want or click the top box and all your contacts will be selected. At the bottom of your list you can type a personal message and click the “Send Invite” button. That easy!!! How do I update my Email address? From your Rec. Room left menu, select “Account Settings”. Under the Contact Email section, input your new email address in space provided, click the radio button next to the text box and click “Change Email”. A confirmation notice will appear if successful. From your Rec. Room left menu, select “Account Settings”. Under the Change Your Password section, input your current and new password and click “Change Password”. A verification email will be sent to your SFTP email to confirm change. Click the link within email to confirm. From your Rec. Room left menu, select “Account Settings”. Under the Change Your Name section, input your new information and click “Change Name”. A verification email will be sent to your SFTP email to confirm change. Click the link within email to confirm. From your Rec. Room left menu, select “Account Settings”. Under the Change Your USBDT.com Username section, input your new username and click “Change Username”. A verification email will be sent to your SFTP email to confirm change. Click the link within email to confirm. How do I change my SMTP email notifications? From your Rec. Room left menu, select “Account Settings” and then “Notifications” at the top of your Rec. Room. Select/De-Select the ways you want to be notified via email and click “Save Settings”. From your Rec. Room left menu, click [edit] next to your Buddies menu. Your buddies are displayed in alphabetical order. Click “Delete Buddy” next to the unwanted soul.
